• 2 to 6 July 2008 - Henley Royal Regatta 
   
• 23rd June to 6th July - Wimbledon Tennis Championships 
   
• 5 & 6 July 2008 - The Cornbury Oxford Music Festival - Set in the beautiful grounds of Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire, the festival will feature a great line-up of artists and includes a high quality campsite, an extensive fairground, hot air balloons, alternative shopping village, a sumptuous food fair, kids entertainments, massage & holistic treatments and much much more. It's the perfect way to spend a summer weekend.
   
• Tuesday 8 to Thursday 10 July 2008 - Great Yorkshire Show a three-day countryside show on the edge of the spa town of Harrogate. (This is one of the best event websites we've seen - lots of information and easy to find your way around.)
   
• 13 July to 8 September - BBC last night of the Proms
    
• Edinburgh Festivals Over the space of five weeks six festivals are held in the Scottish capital.
   
• 24th July to 31st August 2008 - Edinburgh Art Festival
   
• Cowes Week is the worlds premier sailing regatta, with almost 1,000 yachts and 8,000 competitors taking part in some top-class sailing.
   
• 25th July to 3rd August 2008 - Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival
