A little train travels to the stunning waterfalls at Devil’s Bridge. Safe sandy beaches boat trips for dolphin watching or fishing Rhayader’s Red kite feeding station excellent walking and bird watching and mountain biking in the Cambrian hills are all easily accessible. Set on the beautiful sweep of Cardigan Bay the university town of Aberystwyth’s Victorian promenade pier and sandy beach lie just 1.5 miles from this attractive cluster of cottages two of which we offer here. Careful conversion of a handsome range of stone built farm buildings has created well appointed comfortable holiday accommodation within easy reach of a wealth of attractions. Bird watching enthusiasts will love the red kite feeding station at Ponterwyd and there are superb walking and mountain biking trails in the Cambrian Hills as well as amidst the lakes of the wonderful Elan Valley. Dolphin watching trips and steam train journeys are always popular and this lovely stretch of Heritage coastline encompasses many safe sandy beaches including Clarach with its rock pools (1.5 miles) and Borth (5 miles). Whilst easily accessible via good roads the narrow winding lanes and rolling hills of this delightfully unspoilt region of Wales are all part of its considerable charm. Aberystwyth itself boasts a good selection of shops entertainment pubs and eateries a cinema and arts centre as well as golf and indoor leisure facilities.

There are beautiful walks through the forest – one area looks towards the mountains with sunsets that are out of this world whilst another offers swings and seating spots in delightful riverside surroundings. Unspoilt National Trust beaches are just 9 miles away and the dolphin and seal watching trips readily available along the coast are some of the most popular excursions in mid Wales whilst further inland white water rafting superb fishing nostalgic journeys on the Teifi Valley narrow gauge steam railway and a host of other fantastic attractions are within a short drive of Wern Newydd Farm. A selection of shops can be found in Llandysul (2 miles) and a village shop/P.O. and an excellent pub serving good food lie conveniently at the end of the farm drive.
