• begin(Basic Educational Guidance in Nottinghamshire): begin is the central information point for advice on adult Basic Skills in Nottinghamshire. It offers adults free, confidential impartial advice about local literacy, numeracy & ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes. The Service currently helps over 4000 people a year to find the right learning opportunities. begin also supports over 300 organisations & community groups that wish to address local Skills for Life issues.

• Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Lesbian and Gay Switchboard - Provides information and support for lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and trans people.
• Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Parent Partnership Service - Helps provide information, advice and support to parents of children with special educational needs.
• Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum - Works with and for asylum seekers and refugees offering advice, practical assistance and friendship to all refugees and asylum seekers regardless of race, religion or political opinion.

• The Topaz Centre - Helping victims of rape and serious sexual assault within Nottinghamshire. You do not have to report to the police to access their service. Their helpline is 0845 600 15 88 
• Women's Aid is the key national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children, with a network of over 500 domestic and sexual violence services across the UK. You'll find local services on the website.
