National Youth Groups
- Princes Trust A UK
charity that helps young people overcome barriers and get their lives
working.
- The Boys' Brigade -
Christian organisation that runs activities for children and young
people from 5 to 18 years old.
- Catch-22, a national
charity that works with young people who find themselves in difficult
situations. Whatever the reason for their situation, they work with
their families and their communities wherever and whenever young people
need it most; in schools, on the streets, in the home, at community
centres, shopping centres, in police stations, and in custody. As young
people become more positive, productive and independent, the whole
community benefits. Rainer and Crime Concern, two national charities
that came together in 2008 to form Catch22.
- Barnardo's run almost 400
projects around the UK from drug misuse to disability; youth crime to mental
health; sexual abuse to domestic violence; poverty to homelessness.
- National Federation of Young
Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC) is one of the largest rural youth
organisations in the UK and is dedicated to supporting young people in
agriculture and the countryside in England and Wales. Led by young
people, for young people, YFCs provide their members aged 10 to 26 with
a unique opportunity to develop skills, work with their local community,
travel abroad, take part in a varied competitions programme and enjoy a
dynamic social life.
- Scottish Association of Young
Farmers Clubs for members aged between 14 and 30
- Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster
(YFCU) is an association of local clubs run by young people that
welcomes members from all communities in the town, city and countryside.
YFCU has members aged 12-25 in over 50 active clubs in Northern Ireland.
- Wales YFC
is a voluntary youth organisation that represents 6,000 young
people in rural Wales. Although the name of the organisation refers to
‘Young Farmers', members represent young people from all walks of
life - so you don't need to be a farmer to be a member - you just need to be
between 10 and 26 years old and want to live a little and learn a lot
