- Anderton Boat Lift
- Anson Engine Museum
is on the site of the old Anson Colliery in Higher Poynton, just
south of Manchester. The museum houses a collection of over 200 gas and oil engines,
ranging from early Crossley gas engines through to more modern
diesels, and many in running order. The museum attracts engine
enthusiasts from all over the world.
- Blaze Farm and Hilly Billy Ice Cream
set on the edge of the Peak District. Nature trails through meadows
and woodland - spot the wildlife, watch the lambing in the
Springtime and the sheep-shearing in the Summer. See cows being
milked, see baby calves and feed the hens. Tea rooms with home baked
cakes and Hilly Billy Ice Cream made on the farm using the milk from
their own dairy herd.
